Project Management

What to Expect

  • Starting by understanding your overall budget, quality requirements, scope of work and timeframe, we put together a high-level design project plan and budgetary estimate for your review.
  • Once agreed, we orchestrate the procurement of finishing materials, oversight of trades in realising the design and schedule of works.
  • As that progresses, we handle the procurement of furniture, fixtures, fittings, accessories and finishing touches, keeping you appraised along the way.
  • If there are changes needed (whether that is your property presenting a surprise, or changes in your design decisions), we manage any adaptations and changes in the schedule, to keep the project progressing as quickly and smoothly as possible.
  • You will receive regular progress reports and communications detailing all aspects of design realisation progress, costs, along with any risks/issues or decisions needed.

Please Note: This service is only offered where we have completed the full design.

For complex/large projects where multiple trades are working simultaneously, we work with your main contractor, site manager and relevant tradespersons closely to oversee the final design.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who typically uses Design Project Management?

Our clients have used this service when they are preparing a new property before they move in, or let it, when the property is remote and they need it ready for opening (such as Furnished Holiday Let (FHL)), or because their time is needed elsewhere.

Renovating, redecorating or self-building a property involves a huge amount of time and effort in not only selecting various products and fixtures, but in overseeing tradespersons and it frequently results in being presented with many small decisions daily (often with a short timeline to decide). If you have never embarked on this type of property development it can be extremely stressful, especially if you have family and a career to manage too.

By completing the full design, we will already have all the knowledge about your style, desired outcomes and the project. We know which products have been selected, how and where they should be applied and we will have created all the technical drawings to provide to tradespeople. This means we can oversee the design aspects efficiently without having to make any assumptions or trouble you with additional questions.
